Pearl Barley with Mushrooms

I don't really remember the last time I cooked pearls. And in vain… So delicious!

Marinēti gurķi Blik 6-9cm 680g/360g

250 grams Grūbas (1 glāze)

250 grams Šampinjoni

250 grams Burkāns

250 grams Sīpols

20 grams Ķiploks

20 grams Zaļumi (dilles)

10 grams Extra virgin olīveļļa

Sāls, pipari, kaltēti garšaugi

preperation

  1. Rinse the pearl barley in several changes of water, pour hot water over it and leave to soak (I did this in the morning, but cooked it in the evening).

  2. Cook the pearl barley until ready. Drain off any excess water.

  3. While the groats are cooking, chop the onions and fry them in a pan with oil (10 g).

  4. Grate the carrots and slice the mushrooms. Add them to the pan with the onions. Fry/ sauté until ready, then season with salt and pepper.

  5. Add the cooked pearl barley to the mushrooms and vegetables. Add the greens.
